The Cutter Simulator is used in place of a pyrotechnic cutter when testing AAD’s in a passive configuration. In the event that the AAD fires, the Cutter Simulator illuminates indicating that the AAD fired. This offers a visual and reusable method to indicate if an AAD has fried. With the proper connector the Cutter Simulator will work with any AAD.
